Mueller Earns Second BIG EAST Honor Roll Selection

Mueller earned the honor for her performance last weekend helping the Golden Eagles (16-11, 8-6 BIG EAST) to a weekend split, falling to No. 7 Louisville, 3-1, on Saturday before sweeping Cincinnati, 3-0, on Sunday. Mueller recorded back-to-back matches of double figured kills slamming 23 against the Cardinals and 10 against the Bearcats, while hitting 34.2 and 33.3 percent, respectively. The junior outside hitter notched her 12th double double of the season adding 14 digs at Cincinnati.
Joining Mueller on this week?s honor roll was Notre Dame?s Lauren Brewster, Connecticut?s Jenny Neelands, St John?s Shameka Mitchell and Syracuse?s Joscie Kaup. Seton Hall?s Jessica King was named Player of the Week, while St. John?s Hui Ping Huang was selected Rookie of the Week.
The Golden Eagles who earned the seventh seed in the BIG EAST Conference Championship will play second seed and seventh ranked Louisville in the first round of the of the conference tournament on Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m. EST at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky.
