Merritt earns NBDL honor

March 28, 2005 ? Former Marquette forward Scott Merritt earned 2004-05 All-NBDL honorable mention honors, it was announced today. The 6-10 forward is averaging 13.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 45 games for the Columbus Riverdragons.
The league?s six head coaches selected a first and second team, as well as 10 players for honorable mention.
Marquette?s all-time leader in games played with 126, Merritt is the only player in school history to record over 1,000 points, 600 rebounds, 100 assists, and 100 blocked shots for his career. He ranks fifth all-time in blocked shots (113), 13th in rebounds (687), and 30th in scoring (1,049 points).
Merritt was one of four Riverdragons? players to be honored. The team currently leads the NBDL with a 26-16 record.
