Head coach Jody Bronson will take a squad of six athletes, including freshman Lisa Nguyen who will see her first contest as a Golden Eagle, to Kalamazoo where Bronson hopes to see the improvement in the returnees.
?We won?t get to see all of our options this weekend because of some injuries,? said Bronson. ? It will be tough, but what we are hoping to accomplish is to see that our returnees have gotten better over last season.?
This season?s squad of Golden Eagles will look to the leadership of four juniors Francina Bonnelly, Andrea Bukacek, Kathleen Donovan and Dominika Dabrowski. New assistant coach Valerie Vladea joins Marquette this season and brings a wealth of experience from playing at Northwestern and Minnesota.
?This invitational will show us how we are performing at this point in time and where we want to be,? said Bronson.
Action at the Bronco Invitational will begin on Friday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. and run through Sunday, Sept. 18.
