Marquette Soccer Summer Camps Set

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette men's soccer staff has set the dates for their 2007 camps. The staff will provide six camps running from February to August.
The first camp will be held in the month of February and will be held on four consecutive Saturdays (February 3, 10, 17 and 24). The U10-U13 camp is open to the first 30 participants and will run from 2-4:30 p.m. each day. Cost is $75.
The summer camps get underway with a June 18-22 camp for U8-U10 participants. This morning camp runs from 9-11:30 a.m. each day and costs $119. It is open to the first 45 participants who sign up.
Held concurrently with the U8-U10 camp, an evening camp will be held for U11-U14 players from June 18-22. The camp runs from 2-4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday and Friday night feature tournaments beginning at 6 p.m. Cost for the camp is also $119 and is available for the first 45 who sign up.
Two camps will run on July 9-13. A camp for U8-U10 players will be held in the mornings from 9-11:30 a.m. A camp for U11-U14 players will be held in the afternoons on the same days. Like the previous camp, sessions will run from 2-4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday and Friday night feature tournaments beginning at 6 p.m. Cost for each camp is $119 and is available to the first 45 attendees.
A High School Elite camp will be held from August 1-4 and will be an overnight camp for participants. This camp is open to the first 60 participants and will cost $355. The camp was very successful in the summer of 2006 with five campers receiving offers to play Division I Soccer, three of which committed to Marquette.
"We're looking forward to building off the success of last year's camps," head coach Louis Bennett said. "Due to the overwhelming response, we have added and extended dates to make our camps more available. We are also very proud of our High School Elite camp, which drew so many talented individuals."
