AL McGUIRE CENTER - This week's player spotlight is on sophomore guard Erin Monfre. Monfre has started in every game this season for the Golden Eagles and averages 6.3 points and 2.9 assist per game in 25.1 minutes of action. She has been on target from long range hitting 41.4 percent (12-of-29) of her shots and set a single game record for three-point percentage at Virginia on Nov. 17, connecting on 85.7 percent (6-of-7) of her attempts. With her six treys that night she registered a career best 18 points against the Cavaliers.

Best thing about playing at Marquette? It is close to home, small campus and the people I'm surrounded by every day.
Who is the funniest person on the team? That's tough to just chose one, but I would have to say Jasmine McCullough.
Do you have any pre-game superstitions? I recently got a tattoo on my right wrist and before each game I rub my finger across the words "Courage, hope and strength". Just something I started this season.
What is the first thing you do when you wake up? Check the weather to see how cold Wisconsin is going to be that day.
What is your favorite food? Tacos, chips and guacamole at Chipotle. Could honestly eat there everyday and not get sick of it.
What is your favorite movie? Toy Story

What is your favorite book? Tears of a Tiger
If you could drive any car, what would it be? Black Range Rover

You have a dinner reservation for four, who would you pick as your three guests? Dwyane Wade, Diana Taurasi and Michael Jordan
What is your favorite thing to do outside of basketball? Relax, watch TV, talk to friends and go to movies.
Favorite thing in your closet? My shoes
If you could play another sport, what would it be and why? Golf. There is absolutely no conditioning or physically activity involved.
Who do you look up to and why? My brother because I am currently going through everything he went through when he was in college as far as being a student-athlete. He gives great advice and he's someone I can listen to and trust. I also look up to my mom who's been through so much and is a breast cancer survivor.
What is your dream job? WNBA coach
Do you have any hidden talents? Not that I know of. If so, I haven't come across them yet.
What's one thing about you that most people do not know? I'm a clean freak majority of the time. Usually on our days off if I'm not relaxing, I'm straightening up my room and apartment.

What is your favorite drill in practice? Water breaks. Just kidding. It's a competition shooting drill that is 10 minutes long. It consists of 5 minutes of pull up jumpers from 5 spots on the court and then 5 minutes of all 3's and our team splits up and competes for most makes.
Which road-trip are you looking forward to this year? I was looking forward to the Virgin Islands, but now that that has passed already I am looking forward to Spain at the end of our season.
If you could have only three things on a deserted island, what would they be? Photo album, cell phone and my PSP.
When did you start playing basketball? Around second or third grade.
What are your goals for the season? To be in the top-4 of the BIG EAST and go deep into the NCAA tournament.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Definitely the Virgin Islands after spending five days there! The warm weather is something I would never complain about and the Island is absolutely beautiful. I got a great view of it while parasailing.
How did you choose your jersey number? My brother grew up wearing number 5 so I always wanted to wear it. I've never had any number different than 5.

What's the one thing you can't leave home without? Cell phone
Do you have any strange obsessions? Other than buying shoes every month, no.
What is your favorite holiday? Christmas, it's fun to receive all those gifts but a lot more fun to give to others.
How would your teammates describe you? Goofy, outgoing and loves to make people laugh.
What's your favorite song(s)? Justin Timberlake - "My Love"
Where is the best place you have ever visited? Montego Bay, Jamaica and St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.
