KENOSHA, Wis. - Marquette sent four members of its "B" Cross Country team to participate in today's Midwestern Collegiate Invite at Wis.-Parkside in Racine, Wis.
"I thought the four runners did pretty well," head coach Dave Ulrich said. "It's always tough when they aren't with the entire team."
Senior Leslie Lawton was Marquette's top finisher, placing 53rd with a time of 19:52. Sophomore Collen Kuenster finished 76th with a time of 20:16. Sophomore's Anna Halaska and Beth Pollard came in with times of 20:55 and 21:37, finishing 112th and 137th.
"This course is a lot harder than last week's course and yet Leslie and Anna ran faster then last week which was encouraging."
Marquette will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. next Saturday where they will participate in the Roy Griak Invitational.
