Novak to Play in 2006 NABC College All-Star Game

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Senior forward Steve Novak is part of the college roster for the 2006 NABC College All-Star game set to take place as part of the Final Four festivities in Indianapolis. Novak and his team of collegiate players will meet the Harlem Globetrotters on March 31 at Conseco Fieldhouse beginning at 7 p.m. CT.
On March 30, the senior sharpshooter won the 3-Point Shootout at the 18th Annual Dell College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championship held at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University.
Novak led Marquette to a 20-11 record in 2005-06, a first-round bye in the BIG EAST Tournament and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He was a unanimous First Team All-BIG EAST Selection and one of six players in the program's history to have more then 1,500 points and 500 rebounds for his career. He averaged 17.0 points per game.
This season, Novak was sixth in the nation in three point percentage hitting 46.7 percent, and finished his career making a school-record 46.1 percent from behind the arc. At 46.1 percent for his career, Novak had the highest career three point percentage of any active player this season and finished fifth on the NCAAs all-time three point percentage list.
Novak led the BIG EAST and was third in the country in three point field goals made per game at 3.9.
