Manual Resistance Leg Curl

| Muscles Used | Primary: Hamstring group |
| Starting Position | The lifter should be lying face down on the floor. |
| Description | It is best if each leg is done individually. While raising the leg, flex the foot so the toes are pointing towards the knees. Raise the leg as high as possible, pause momentarily, and recover to the starting position. |
| Spotting | Resistance is applied on the backside of the heels. |
| Points To Emphasize | 1. If lowering the leg is too difficult during the first few repititions, the spotter can take a longer time in the raising phase (i.e., first 5 repetitions, only raise the leg [5 seconds], do not lower it with any resistance). On the 6th repetition, add resistance to both the raising (2 seconds) and lowering (4 seconds) phases. |
