BIG EAST Announces 2024-25 All-Academic Team

80 percent of Marquette student-athletes honored
The BIG EAST Conference has announced the names of more than 3,100 student-athletes who have been selected to the 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, including 80 percent of the student-athletes at Marquette..
Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST's 11 member schools and six affiliate institutions. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.
There are 3,123 honorees for the 2024-25 academic year. Villanova led the way with 395 student-athletes honored with Georgetown having the second most with 365. Connecticut (285) and Providence (275) rounded out the top four institutions. Affiliate student-athletes made up 162 of the honorees.

- Number of student-athletes who achieved a 4.0 GPA. Fall - 32, Spring - 35
- Number of student-athletes who had a GPA of 3.0 and higher (AD Honor Roll): Fall 272, Spring 238
