New program turns fan support and daily spend into tickets, gear, and access
Marquette University Athletics announced today the launch of Marquette Rewards, a new fan engagement and loyalty program created in partnership with Uptop, a Rain company. Marquette Rewards gives Marquette fans another way to be rewarded and recognized for the ways they already support Marquette Athletics through fast, reliable earning and redemption for fans by leveraging Uptop's technology and infrastructure built on Avalanche. The agreement with Uptop was facilitated by Learfield's Marquette Sports Properties, the exclusive multimedia rights holder of Marquette Athletics.
Most loyalty programs make the fan do the work. Marquette Rewards was designed to put Marquette fans first. When a fan links an existing debit/credit card, Uptop recognizes all qualifying purchases at participating merchants automatically, adding points to the fan's balance nearly instantly, allowing them to redeem as soon as they wish.
Marquette Rewards will be available to students, alumni and fans at MarquetteRewards.com (live on Oct. 23) and inside the Marquette Athletics official mobile app starting on Friday as well. Fans simply create a free account, link a credit or debit card they already carry, and begin earning by attending events across every major Marquette sport, spending inside Marquette Athletics venues and shopping with participating partners including Buffalo Wild Wings, Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly and more. Fans instantly receive points and can redeem them for merchandise, memorabilia, tickets and exclusive Marquette Athletics experiences.
"Our fans consistently show up for Marquette, and we wanted to create a program that recognizes and rewards that loyalty," said Brian Morgan, Marquette University Associate Athletic Director, Marketing & Ticketing. "Whether you're attending events, shopping with our partners, purchasing Marquette gear, or supporting our teams in other ways, Marquette Rewards gives us another opportunity to thank fans for the important role they play in the success of our athletics programs and the University."
"We're excited to partner with Uptop to launch Marquette Rewards and bring a new level of engagement to our fans, alumni and students. Our partnership with Uptop allows us to reward the passion and loyalty of Marquette fans with exclusive experiences, offers and opportunities directly through MarquetteRewards.com and the Marquette Gameday App," said Brad Harrison, General Manager, Learfield's Marquette Sports Properties. "We're especially excited about the opportunity to integrate our existing corporate partners into the program, which will give them new ways to connect with Marquette fans through exclusive offers while fans earn points toward Marquette Rewards."
"Golden Eagles fans show up, spend with the businesses that support their teams, and they do it all season long," said Zac Sebo, Head of Partnerships, Uptop. "Marquette Rewards allows fans to support their team with a single account. Pay as they would, and the points land in their balance nearly instantly, ready to redeem for tickets, gear, and experiences."
Marquette Rewards will widen after launch, giving fans additional opportunities to benefit. A loaded value credential is planned to be released in the near future. Fans will be able to fund it through their Marquette Rewards account and use it anywhere they shop, which extends earning well past Marquette venues and partner locations. Marquette and Uptop also plan to add more partner offers and new redemption tiers through the season.
