MILWAUKEE - Marquette University athletics are off to a successful start after three teams began their 2006 regular seasons this past week. The women's soccer team started its season 2-0-0 with a 3-0 defeat of Bowling Green and a 9-0 victory over Sacred Heart. Also undefeated through the first week of play is the men's soccer team as it began the Louis Bennett era with a 2-1 victory over Loyola (Ill.) and a 0-0 tie with Denver. The volleyball team finished its opening weekend with a 3-1 victory over Gardner-Webb at the Duke Invitational, where it went 1-2 on the weekend.
