Milwaukee - Sophomore forward Nick Kay has been named to the BIG EAST Men's Soccer Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The Stevens Point, Wis., native netted a pair of goals in the team's 2-1 victory over Cincinnati Sunday afternoon in league action at Valley Fields. Kay opened the scoring with a first-half strike and capped the win with a header in the second overtime session.
"The impressive thing about a player like Nick is that any recognition he receives has been earned," head coach Louis Bennett said. "The honor is well deserved and we are very happy for him."
Kay is the first honoree of the season for the Golden Eagles, who wrap up a three-match homestand Wednesday night at 7 p.m. versus Drake.
