Milwaukee - The Marquette University men's tennis team continues the Fall portion of its 2007-08 campaign with action this weekend at the Purdue Fall Invitational.
The Golden Eagles will compete in four flights of singles and two doubles draws, beginning Saturday morning and concluding Sunday afternoon. The four-team event includes: Marquette, Purdue, Butler and Iowa. All matches will take place at the Schwartz Tennis Center or the Varsity Tennis Courts.
"This will be the best field we have faced this season," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "It will be good preparation for the upcoming regional competition and this weekend's format will test the players."
This weekend's action will mark the return of junior Stephen Shao to the lineup, who has missed several competitions due to injury. Sophomore Dusan Medan will look to continue his singles winning streak after capturing the Flight "A" championship at the Marquette Fall Invitational.
Also capturing flight titles last weekend were seniors Pete Van Lieshout and Greg Sirotek.
