Senior earns accolade for third time in his career
Marquette University men's tennis player Blake Roegner has been named All-BIG EAST Second Team, the league office announced Thursday morning.
Â
The Naperville, Illinois, native has been named to the all-conference second team each of the last three seasons, becoming just the sixth player in program history to be recognized with all-league accolades on at least three occasions. Only Alvaro Verdu (2015-19) and Dan Lencina (1994-98) claimed all-conference honors in each of their respective four seasons with Marquette.
Â
"Extremely proud to see Blake recognized for his hard work by the league's head coaches," Marquette head coach Jud Shaufler said. "He has been a tremendous representative for the program and university and we wish him the best of luck as he begins the next chapter."
Â
Roegner saw all his dual action at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions, collecting a team-best combined win total in 2025-26. He was the lone Golden Eagle to compete in the main draw of the ITA Midwest Regional and has been the squad's No. 1 singles player each of the last three campaigns. He and freshman Hugh Perrill were named the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week on April 13.
