Guelph, Canada - Sophomore cross country runner Jayne Grebinski finished 29th in the 2007 AGSI Canadian National Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Dec. 1. The race was held at The Arboretum on the University of Guelph campus in Guelph, Canada.
Grebinski ran the 7K race in 26:15.4, finishing 29th of 59 runners. The top-10 runners earned a chance to run for Team Canada at the cross country championships held in Edinburgh, Scotland.
"Overall, Jayne had a great year capped off with an outstanding performance at the Canadian National Championships," head coach Mike Nelson said. "She held her own against some of the best runners in the nation. She was the youngest competitor in the field. She and I both look forward to her running this championship each year. She'll move up steadily each year and eventually she will represent Canada in international competitions."
