Hagan Advances At Polo Ralph Lauren All-American

Milwaukee - Junior Trent Hagan remained alive in the prequalifying draw of the 2007 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championship Saturday afternoon, while sophomores Niko Boulieris and Dusan Medan saw their respective tournament come to an end.
Hagan, who is seeded 33rd in the field of 256, received a first-round bye. He advanced to Sunday's third round with a hard-fought 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (4) victory over Denis Troyke of Oral Roberts. Hagan will now face Taylor St. Eve of SMU at Noon. St. Eve posted a straight-set victory over Rok Bizjak of Clemson in the opening round.
Medan defeated Renato Melo of Nebraska 6-1, 6-4 in the first round before falling Carl Sundberg of Miami 6-3, 6-3 in round two. Sundberg had a bye to begin tourney action.
Boulieris started play with a spot in the second round, but saw his weekend cut short with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 loss to David Costa of UT-Arlington.
Play continues Sunday morning with two more rounds of action.
