The Marquette University men's basketball team made one very important final stop before beginning practice for the upcoming 2008-09 season, visiting Hinsdale Central High School to work with a pair of teams involved with Special Olympics.
Hinsdale Central's program, now in its second year, teamed up with a squad from Hinsdale South High School to host event. The two teams will be on opposite benches when their respective regular-season schedules begin.
Each of the players participated in various drills as well as Simon Says during the visit, which was capped by a pair of fullcourt games. Despite the Golden Eagles' attempt to utilize their newly implemented offensive scheme, they were no match for their talented opponents, led by Matt Fischer, Connor Brennan and a young man known only as "Bobby."
