Time Change For Oct. 25 Men's Soccer Match

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette men's soccer match against Providence College, scheduled for Oct. 25 at Valley Fields, has been changed to a 3 p.m. start time in order to allow students to also attend the annual "Marquette Madness" basketball event to be held later that afternoon.
All fans are encouraged support the Golden Eagles as they face the Friars of Providence College, then head to the Al McGuire Center to take part in "Marquette Madness" at 6 p.m. The men's soccer match was originally scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Details on a student promotion related to the afternoon soccer match and "Marquette Madness" will be announced at a later date. Saturday's afternoon match with Providence is also Military Appreciation Day, recognizing those who have serve or are currently serving in our armed forces.
The Oct. 25 match with the Friars comes at the end of the stretch of five matches to be played in Milwaukee, including four contests at Valley Fields. The lone road match is Oct. 22 at UW-Milwaukee's Engelmann Field in the battle for the Milwaukee Cup. MU will also host Seton Hall (Oct. 11), Wisconsin (Oct. 15) and Connecticut (Oct. 18) during that stretch.
