MILWAUKEE -
The Marquette women's basketball team (7-3) opens a two-game homestand Wednesday against Oregon (3-4) at a unique Noon tip-off at the Al McGuire Center. The game will serve as an educational field trip for elementary and middle school students enrolled in the Milwaukee Public School System.
With the amount of students attending from MPS, Wednesday's game will mark the second sellout in school history at the Al McGuire Center.
The game can be seen live on Time Warner Sports 32 with Steve "The Homer" True and Kareeda Chones-Aguam calling all of the action courtside.
The Golden Eagles will be looking to rebound from its loss at Wisconsin Saturday at the Kohl Center where cold shooting doomed Marquette from the start.
Marquette regained a bit of its depth in its post game due to the return of freshman Jessica Pachko. Packho was hampered with a foot injury that sidelined her for six games. She returned to the line up against Wisconsin and contributed five points and three rebounds in 14 minutes of action.
The Ducks sit at 3-4 on the season, having lost their las two games to Montana and Georgia Tech.
Junior guard Micaela Cocks leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game. Cocks is the only player to post a double-digit scoring average. Cocks also leads the team in minutes, averaging 36.4 minutes, almost 10 more than the next closest Duck.
Taylor Lilley, the Ducks' leading returning scorer and a Third Team All-Pac-10 selection a year ago, played in her first game of the season against Georgia Tech after sitting the first six games with shin problems.
