New Gameday Video Features, Wrapping Up Centenary Win

[1:30 p.m.] There were a number of first-time events at the Bradley Center Friday night, both on and off the court. Several players hit personal marks in the victory over Centenary and two brand-new video features also made their respective debuts prior to opening tip.
Marquette Postgame Notes
· Series information: Marquette leads 3-0.
· The Golden Eagles have now won 18 of the last 19 season openers.
· Jimmy Butler, Joe Fulce and Milwaukee-native Dwight Buycks each made their first NCAA Division I start. Buycks scored his first career points at the 17:18 mark of the first half on a 3-pointer and finished with seven points. Fulce played a career-high 20 minutes in the contest.
· Butler set a career high with 27 points and added 13 rebounds. Butler scored the first six points for the Golden Eagles and eight of the first 11 points. Butler’s double-double was only the second of his career.
· Sophomore Darius Johnson-Odom scored his first NCAA Division I points in the second half on a 3-pointer and followed on the next possession with a layup. Johnson-Odom finished with 10 points.
· Freshman Jeronne Maymon, a native of Madison, Wis., saw his first collegiate action in the first half when he checked in at the 16:02 mark. Maymon finished with nine points.
· Senior David Cubillan made his first start since his freshman campaign.
· Centenary sophomore guard David Perez scored a career-high 25 points.
