The Marquette women's basketball team will continue its busy week by renewing its rivalry with Wisconsin, Friday, Dec. 11 at the Al McGuire Center. The 7 p.m. tip-off will air live on Sports32 with Steve "The Homer" True and Kareeda Chones-Aguam calling all of the action.
The game can also be heard on 540AM ESPN Radio with Kent Summerfeld on the call and on the internet courtesy of WMUR.
The Golden Eagles are coming off 65-55 road win over Illinois on Wednesday. Junior guard Angel Robinson led all scorers with 32 points, while Jocelyn Mellen had a big night on the glass pulling down 11 rebounds. The Badgers stand 7-2 overall following a 70-55 loss at No. 3 Ohio State last Sunday. Alyssa Karel leads Wisconsin with 12.4 points per game, while Tara Steinbauer has contributed 6.6 rebounds per game.
Marquette is 7-9 all-time against Wisconsin and has won four of the last five outings. The Badgers topped the Golden Eagles, 67-48, at the Kohl Center in the two teams' last time out. Marquette owns a 25-33 all-time record against teams from the Big Ten Conference, while Terri Mitchell is 20-13 against the Big Ten, including a 6-2 mark against the Badgers.
