Robinson Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Junior guard Angel Robinson was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll announced by conference officials Monday. Robinson helped the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 week including a 65-55 win at Illinois.
Robinson averages a team-best 16.3 points and 7.0 assists per game in the 2-1 week for the Golden Eagles. She led all scorers with a season-high 32 points at Illinois on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. Robinson came in clutch at the charity stripe against the Illini and connected on a career-best 11-of-14 free throws.
Her 32 points marked the third time of her career Robinson has scored 30-or-more points. The junior guard left the game against Wisconsin with injury midway through the second half, but returned to action against Robert Morris to dish out 10 assists and grab five steals. Robinson's 10 assists marked the second time of the season she has registered double-digit assists.
The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday, Dec. 19 against Green Bay. Tip-off at the Kress Events Center is set for 7 p.m.
