GREEN BAY, Wis. -
Head Coach Terri Mitchell
About the first half...
For some reason we weren't defending and therefore taking some ill-advised shots. It multiplied quickly and we got out ourselves in a big hole. If I could do things over again, I would do exactly what we did in the second half and press the entire game. When we were up, it got us into a rhythm.
About the adjustments made in the second half...
We talked about our character. Coming back in the second half is all about character and fight. We were back on our heels and that's not how we play. We needed to be the aggressors. It's the same message we gave in the first half, but obviously it didn't hit home. Our players were being tentative and I thought in the second half we were looser and our defense got us going.
About how Green Bay impressed...
They all shoot the ball well. When they find open people, they are just dangerous because each player shoots the ball extremely well. They are playing really well and play with a lot of confidence.
About MU's offense in the first half...
I thought they collapsed well and even though we worked on that, I thought we were too slow making our moves. I think when we had the edge we just needed to take the hits that we were getting inside. We just had to be more aggressive. We were getting there just a second late.
