Georgie Jones Leaves Women's Basketball Team

MILWAUKEE - Sophomore center Georgie Jones of the Marquette women's basketball team has informed the coaching staff that she will leave the team for personal reasons effective immediately.
"Georgie has decided to leave Marquette and move on with her college career. We enjoyed her time here at Marquette and wish her the best of luck in her future," said head coach Terri Mitchell.
Jones appeared in 37 games, starting in 19 during her career at Marquette. Jones averaged 3.5 points and 4.9 rebounds for her career. This season she was second on the team in rebounds, pulling down 6.3 per game.
