Pyzdrowski Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Selection

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette men's soccer senior goalkeeper Matt Pyzdrowski was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll the week of Sept. 28, the conference office announced Monday.
The senior helped the Golden Eagles pick up four points in the conference over the weekend, posting a 1-0 double overtime shutout against Cincinnati (Sept. 25) and a 2-2 draw against No. 9/7 Louisville (Sept. 27).
In the two matches, Pyzdrowski faced 29 shots in 219:55 minutes in goal, making seven saves.
His average of 3.86 saves per games ranks ninth in the BIG EAST, and his 27 total saves place him in the top half of the league goalkeepers. Within conference play, Pyzdrowski is fourth with 19 saves in four BIG EAST games.
In the Marquette record books, Pyzdrowski is currently tied for seventh with 175 saves, fifth in minutes in goal with 4,596:08, and seventh with eight shutouts.
