Nikki Klingsporn Named 2010 BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Senior setter Nikki Klingsporn of the Marquette University women's volleyball team was named to the 2010 BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament team, the league announced Sunday following Louisville's victory in the championship match.
Klingsporn led Marquette to a 3-0 sweep of Pittsburgh in Friday's BIG EAST Quarterfinals with a match-high 40 assists, in addition to six digs and four blocks. The Oakdale, Minn., native also led MU is its semifinal loss to Louisville Saturday with 45 assists and 10 digs for her 11th double-double of the season.
The 2010 First Team All-BIG EAST selection was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll twice and has etched her name in the school record book with over 2,500 assists in just under two seasons with the program. Klingsporn entered the week fifth in the nation in assists per set.
Marquette returns to action Saturday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. against Northern Illinois at the Al McGuire Center.
