Golden Eagles Face Northern Illinois on Saturday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's volleyball team returns to the Al McGuire Center for its final regular season match of the season Saturday afternoon when the squad hosts Northern Illinois in a 4 p.m. tilt.
Fans in attendance can support Marquette volleyball and the Salvation Army by donating new or gently used toys during the match at toy drop locations designated in the building. All who donate will receive a $2 discount on match admission.
The Golden Eagles (22-9, 11-3 BIG?EAST) return to action after falling to Louisville Saturday in the program's second trip to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Conference Championship. Marquette defeated Pittsburgh in straight sets on Friday night, for its second BIG EAST tournament victory in school history.
Senior setter Nikki Klingsporn was named to the all-tournament team for her play over the weekend, while fellow senior Rabbecka Gonyo and junior outside hitter Ashley Beyer were named to the 2010 All-BIG EAST First Team along with Klingsporn.
Northern Illinois (27-7, 11-5 Mid-American Conference) is coming off a championship-round loss to Ohio in the MAC Tournament after defeating Eastern?Michigan and Toledo last weekend. The Huskies are led by Lauren Wicinski's 621 kills (4.85 per set), while libero Maddie Hughes has notched 589 digs this season (4.64 per set). NIU is ranked 52 in the latest Ratings Percentage Index (PRI), while the Golden Eagles check in at 55.
