Robinson Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Senior Angel Robinson of the Marquette women's basketball team was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll, announced by conference officials Monday. Robinson helped MU to a 1-1 week, including a 63-60 win over No. 23/17 Green Bay.
Robinson scored in double figures in back-to-back games, registering 15 points at No. 1/1 Connecticut and 14 in the win over the Phoenix. Robinson scored 12 of her 14 points in the first half against Green Bay to give the Golden Eagles a 13-point lead at the break.
Robinson finished the week with 14.5 points per game on 45.8 percent shooting from the floor, including 44.4 percent from 3-point range. Robinson also added 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game in the 1-1 week.
This weekly honor roll nod is her first of the season and fifth of her career.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action at the Al McGuire Center on Saturday, Dec. 18 against UNC-Asheville at 7 p.m.
