Consolation Draws At BIG EAST Tennis Championships Cancelled

South Bend, Ind. - Poor weather conditions at the 2010 BIG EAST Conference Tennis Championships in South Bend, Ind., have forced the cancellation of the consolation draw and as a result ended the respective 2009-10 campaigns for Marquette's men's and women's squads.
The MU men's and women's teams were slated to begin consolation play on Saturday morning after both teams suffered tough 4-3 losses on Friday.
The event has been moved indoors and due to a limit of available court space, only the main draw will be completed. The men's and women's champion, who will be crowned on Sunday, earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
