Ashley Beyer Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Marquette University junior outside hitter Ashley Beyer was named to the BIG EAST Conference's Weekly Volleyball Honor Roll, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Beyer averaged 5.00 kills and 2.40 digs per set over the weekend against Harvard, Charlotte and Northwestern at the Wildcat Classic. She led MU in kills in each match, including a season-high 23 in the tournament finale against Northwestern.
It is the first Honor Roll mention of the season for the BIG EAST All-Preseason Team selection and the third of her career.
Beyer and the Golden Eagles return to action Friday at 7 p.m./6 p.m. CT in their BIG EAST opener against USF in Tampa, Fla. and will play at Georgetown on Sunday at noon CT.
