REUNION, Fla. -- Junior Corey Konieczki shot 2-over-par 74 in the second round of the BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship to lead the Marquette University men's golf team Monday.
As a team, the Golden Eagles dropped from third place into a tie for eighth with just one day remaining. MU combined to shoot a second-round 305 after opening the 54-hole event Sunday with a 292.
Konieczki, who sits in 23rd place individually, was the only Marquette golfer to shave strokes from their first-round score after firing a 75 Sunday. Freshman Zach Gaugert (T14) remained the Golden Eagles' top individual with a 146 (71-75) after 36 holes.
