Golden Eagles finish eighth in strong field.

TULSA, Okla. – Moving up three spots in the final round, the Marquette golf team finished eighth on Tuesday at the The Clerico held at Southern Hills Country Club. Carding a 49-over par for the week, the Golden Eagles finished above two of the eight Top 50 teams in the 12-team field.

Johan Widal paced MU with a Top-20 finish, placing 16^th. The senior slipped back five spots following a 6-over on Tuesday following a pair of 1-over 71's on Monday.

Mason Schmidke also finished in the Top 25, coming in at 22^nd at 10-over. The junior recorded a 72 in both the first and third rounds.
