The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Midwest Regional Saturday evening with main draw doubles competition.
The Golden Eagles had three tandems claim victories in the opening round, but only sophomore Nick Dykema and senior Vukasin Teofanovic were able to claim a win on Saturday. After downing a duo from Illinois State, the MU squad dropped an 8-3 decision to third-seeded Valparaiso (Schorsch/Ernhardt).
Sophomore Daniel Fernandez played a main draw consolation match on Saturday, downing Wisconsin's John Zordani 6-3, 6-2.
The weekend's action wraps up the fall portion of Marquette's 2014-15 campaign. MU will open dual competition Jan. 17 at Minnesota.
