Women's Tennis Concludes Weekend Play

The Marquette University women's tennis squad finished the weekend's competition with three players concluding match play at a tournament in Rockford, Ill.
Vanessa Foltinger, Paula Tormos Sanchez and Diana Tokar finished the day with singles play. Foltinger won her flight with a 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 decision, while Tormos Sanchez also won her singles flight with an easy 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Tokar took third in her singles flight with a 6-1, 6-3 decision.
The trio also competed on Saturday. Foltinger and Tormos Sanchez recorded two doubles victories, 8-2 over Northern Illinois, followed by another 8-2 victory over Green Bay. In singles play, Tormos Sanchez defeated NIU, 6-1, 6-4, while Foltinger defeated crosstown-foe, Milwaukee, 6-2, 6-3.
The Golden Eagles will have two weeks off before concluding the fall campaign Nov. 7-9 at the Western Michigan Super Challenge.
