KALAMAZOO, Mich.--The Marquette University women's tennis team concluded its fall campaign on Sunday in the final day of the WMU Super Challenge, hosted by Western Michigan.
KALAMAZOO, Mich.--The Marquette University women's tennis team concluded its fall campaign on Sunday in the final day of the WMU Super Challenge, hosted by Western Michigan.
Freshman Paula Tormos Sanchez fell in the Sorenson Flight on Sunday, 6-0, 6-2 to her Indiana opponent, which was just her first singles loss of the tournament.
Junior Erin Gebes earned a singles victory in the black flight as she defeated Ali Miller from Cincinnati, 6-1, 6-2, while freshman Diana Tokar also picked up a win in singles play. Tokar bested her WMU opponent, 6-2, 6-3.
The Golden Eagles will be off until 2015 and return to the court Jan. 15 as the squad travels to Indiana University to open the season at the IU Winter Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
