Men's Soccer Announces Team Award Recipients

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University men's soccer team revealed its annual team awards at the squad's yearly team awards banquet.
The annual awards banquet recognizes the leaders and top performers on and off the pitch from the previous season, and an opportunity to thank all the support staff involved in the program's success.
This year's winners are:
Scholar-Athlete Award
Charlie Lyon (highest GPA)
Rookie of the Year
Most Improved Player
Players' Choice Award
John Pothast (accumulation of players' votes from throughout season)
Golden Boot Award
C. Nortey (most goals, points)
Most Valuable Player
Man of the Year (exemplifies the values of MU Soccer & Marquette University)
