Marquette Basketball Recognizes Annual Award Winners

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University men's basketball program hosted its annual team banquet Tuesday night at the Harley-Davidson Museum and over 300 Golden Eagle fans were in attendance to recognize the 2013-14 senior class for the final time.

The evening's festivities included an interactive program with the players by ComedySportz, an outtakes and highlight video, awards presentation and closing remarks by new head coach Steve Wojciechowski.

The 2013-14 award winners are listed below.

Dwyane Wade Legacy of Leadership Award - Chris Otule
Standard of Academic Excellence - Deonte Burton
Rebounding Effort - Deonte Burton
Create for Others - Derrick Wilson
Sixth Man of the Year - Todd Mayo
Most Improved Player - Jake Thomas
Defensive Player of the Year - Chris Otule
Most Valuable Performer - Davante Gardner
