
Golden Eagles Travel Down South for FIU Turkey Slam

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team is back in action and will open the FIU Turkey Slam on Friday, Nov. 27 at 11:00 a.m. Central time in Miami, Florida at FIU Arena.
The Golden Eagles (0-4) will take on host, Florida International (1-3) and face either Wichita State (0-3) or Richmond (4-0) on Sunday, Nov. 29 also at 11:00 a.m. CT. The game against the Panthers will stream live at fiusports.com for a subscription fee. Sunday's game will have livestats only.
MU enters the contest against FIU still looking for its first win of the season after falling, 97-69, at South Dakota on Monday. Freshmen Natisha Hiedeman and Allazia Blockton lead the Golden Eagles with 15.0 and 14.0 points per game, respectively, while sophomore Shantelle Valentine is the squad's leading rebounder, pulling down 6.8 boards per contest.
Marquette is averaging 64.2 points per game combined and is grabbing 37.0 rebounds each night.
Following this tournament, the Golden Eagles will return home for the first time since Nov. 16 and will host No. 7 Oregon State on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6:00 p.m. CT live on FS1.
