
Marquette Earns Fifth Straight NCAA Tournament Berth

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's volleyball team has earned a fifth consecutive 2015 NCAA Tournament berth as the bracket was revealed on Sunday evening.
The Golden Eagles (21-11) were placed in the Des Moines Region and will travel to Minneapolis and host, No. 2 national seed Minnesota, to face Northern Iowa (19-14) in the first round on Friday, Dec. 4 at 4:30 p.m. Central time. The winner will take on the winner of the Gophers (26-4) and Jackson State (15-21) at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
"I am very happy our team was rewarded with an at-large bid," said head coach Ryan Theis. "They have put in a ton of hard work and five straight NCAA Tournament berths is something that an make Marquette proud."
MU is one of three BIG EAST programs to earn a spot in the tournament. Creighton, the 2015 conference regular season and tournament champions earned a No. 16 national seed, while Villanova earned an at-large bid after finishing as the runner-up in the regular season and tournament.
