
Jarosz, Szczepanek Named Academic All-District

MILWAUKEE - Marquette University men's soccer placed two student-athletes on the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 Team as redshirt sophomore Danny Jarosz and redshirt junior Daniel Szczepanek were voted to the 11-member squad, it was announced on Thursday.
Jarosz, who sports a 3.79 cumulative grade point average, is double majoring in accounting and operation supply chain management at Marquette. The Milwaukee native has appeared in 12 matches as a central defender for the Golden Eagles this season and recorded one assist.
Szczepanek is an accounting major with a 3.70 GPA. In 14 matches as a forward, he ranks tied for second on the Golden Eagles with a career-high 10 points on three goals and four assists. The Grayslake, Illinois native has registered a point in two straight games after a goal and two assists in a 4-1 win over Xavier (Oct. 22) and an assist in MU's 2-1 loss to Providence on Wednesday.
Both Jarosz and Szczepanek will now be placed on the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted on and announced in late-November.
