Marquette Earns Sixth Straight NCAA Tournament Berth

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University women's volleyball team has earned a berth in its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament as the bracket was revealed on Sunday evening.
The Golden Eagles (23-8) will travel to Madison, Wisconsin and host, No. 3 national seed Wisconsin, to face Washington State (21-11) in the first round on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. Central time. The winner will take on the winner of the Badgers (25-4) and Howard (26-5) at 7 p.m. on Friday.
"I am very happy our team was rewarded with an at-large bid," said head coach Ryan Theis. "We had a great off season and foreign tour to help us prepare this year. Six straight NCAA Tournament berths is something that can make Marquette proud."
MU is one of two BIG EAST programs to advance to the NCAA Tournament this season along with BIG EAST regular season and tournament champion Creighton.
