Blockton Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Allazia Blockton was the league's top scorer last week, earning her a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday.
Blockton led the conference last week with 22.3 points per game, highlighted by a 23-point, seven-rebound showing Tuesday night in Marquette's road victory over No. 22/15 Oregon State. The sophomore shot an impressive 89.3% (25-28) from the charity stripe over three games to help the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 week.
Marquette (4-1) returns to action at the Al McGuire Center on Friday, Dec. 2 against Western Illinois at 7 p.m. Central time.
