Prpa Earns NSCAA All-Region Third Team Selection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Following a sensational freshman campaign, Marquette University midfielder Luka Prpa has earned a selection to the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Third Team, it was announced this week.
Prpa, a Wind Lake, Wisconsin, native, was the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year after finishing second in scoring during the regular season with 26 points on 10 goals and six assists. When the regular season concluded on Nov. 3, Prpa ranked 14th-nationally in scoring and ranked atop the BIG EAST with 1.62 points per game.
He hit the national scene after back-to-back six-point performances early on in which he registered two goals and two assists each in wins over Northern Illinois (Aug. 29) and UIC (Sept. 2), resulting in National Player of the Week awards by both the NSCAA and Top Drawer Soccer.
Prpa was the first Golden Eagle to reach double-digits in goals since C. Nortey scored 10 back in 2013, and he's the first since Chris Lee in 2003 to record at least 26 points.
