The Marquette University men's tennis team (8-7) dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision at UT-Arlington (14-7) Monday afternoon, continuing the team's season-long six-match road swing.
The Mavericks opened the match by claiming the doubles point and an early 1-0 advantage. UTA posted a 6-2 decision at the No. 3 position before claiming a 6-3 result at No. 2.
Both freshman Alvaro Verdu and junior Nick Dykema were able to claim their respective first sets, but UTA managed to earn wins at three other singles spots to secure the team victory.
The Golden Eagles return to action on March 25 when the team takes on San Diego on the road.
