Golden Eagles Top England, 11-7, in Game One

PRATO, Italy - The Marquette University men's lacrosse team captured an 11-7 victory over Team England in their first game of their European trip on Friday evening in Prato.
Marquette jumped out to an 8-0 lead and led the English 9-2 at the half. Graduated senior Blaine Fleming led all players with three goals, while rising seniors Ryan McNamara an Robbie Pisano each posted a pair.
The Golden Eagles began the day with a walking tour of Florence before departing for their game in Prato and spent the night in Montecatini Terme. They will play their second game of the trip on Saturday at 9 a.m. Central time (4 p.m. local) and will host a clinic with English and Italian players following a civic reception with the mayor of Prato.
