MLAX Earns Three All-BIG EAST Honors

Rappis named unanimous first team selection, joined by Brandt and Detwiler
NEW YORK — Three Marquette University men's lacrosse student-athletes earned All-BIG EAST honors, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
Graduate student Nolan Rappis earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors for the first time in his career and was a unanimous selection. Carsen Brandt also earned First Team All-BIG EAST honors for the first time, while senior short-stick defensive midfielder Peter Detwiler was named to the second team.Rappis led Marquette's offense, appearing in all 13 games and pacing the team with 31 goals while ranking second with 47 points. The Delafield, Wisconsin, native recorded six games with five or more points, including a seven-point performance at Bellarmine and a six-point outing at Cleveland State. He also posted five points in three of Marquette's five BIG EAST contests. Rappis ranked second in goals during conference play with 16 and tied for third in points with 21 over five league games.
Brandt started all 13 games for Marquette and led the team with 50 points, including a team-high 23 assists. The junior attackman added 19 ground balls and three caused turnovers. The Edina, Minnesota, native recorded a multi-point performance in all 13 games this season for the Golden Eagles. Brandt ranked second in assists during conference play with 13 and tied for third in points with 21 over five BIG EAST games. His 50 points in 2026 are the most by a Marquette player since 2022 and are tied for fourth-most in single-season program history with former teammate Bobby O'Grady (2022–25). His 23 assists rank third in single-season program history.
Detwiler was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second consecutive season. The 28th overall pick in the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) College Draft recorded 29 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, two goals and one assist in 13 games for Marquette. The Devon, Pennsylvania, native recorded three games with two or more caused turnovers, highlighted by a three-caused turnover, three-ground ball performance at Cleveland State.
