Men's soccer downs Creighton and hosts Butler on Senior Night
Luka Prpa tied a single-match program record with four assists as the men's soccer program picked up its 400th victory in team history with a 4-3 win over Creighton on Wednesday night at Valley Fields.
The three points gained in the BIG EAST standings improved the Golden Eagles' tournament hopes and leapfrogged them past the 'Jays into fifth place with 10 points. Butler leads the way with 18 points, followed by Georgetown (16), St. John's (13), Xavier (12) then Marquette. Creighton fell from fifth to sixth place with the loss.
Marquette next hosts Butler on Saturday evening for Senior Night at Valley Fields.

Women's soccer faces Seton Hall with BIG EAST seeding on the line
The women's soccer team plays its regular season finale on Thursday evening at Seton Hall, a match that will determine whether it will host a home match on Sunday at Valley Fields in the BIG EAST tournament quarterfinals. A win over the Pirates and a loss by Xavier against BIG EAST-leader Georgetown would result in a Sunday afternoon home quarterfinal match for MU. A loss or a Xavier win would put the Golden Eagles on the road to start league tournament action.
