Women's soccer faces Georgetown in BIG EAST semis
The women's soccer team is making its 10th appearance in the BIG EAST Championship semifinals on Thursday afternoon at No. 19 Georgetown and will look to advance to Sunday's championship match. The Golden Eagles (13-6-1) knocked off Xavier in the quarterfinals on Sunday at Valley Fields and sit 49th in the NCAA's RPI rankings as of Oct. 29.

Final year at the BMO Harris Bradley Center begins Saturday
Men's basketball hosts Lindenwood on Saturday at 1 p.m. in its lone exhibition at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, a building entering its 30th and final season hosting Marquette basketball. The Golden Eagles topped Milwaukee, 78-63, in their exhibition game on Oct. 22 to aid in hurricane relief efforts for the American Red Cross. Sophomore Sam Hauser posted 27 points and 10 rebounds in the victory, while Markus Howard and Andrew Rowsey added 13 and 12 points respectively.
The Golden Eagles are entering their fourth season under head coach Steve Wojciechowski in 2017-18.

Barber earns AVCA National Player of the Week honors
Women's volleyball sophomore Allie Barber was named the Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week after earning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. Barber recorded a career-best 30 kills in a five-set win at Seton Hall and averaged 5.12 kills per set, hit at a .337 clip and added 1.00 blocks per frame in two matches.
Barber leads the BIG EAST and ranks fourth in the NCAA with 4.98 kills per set and is seventh with 5.34 points per contest

Women's basketball held media day on Wednesday
The reigning BIG EAST tournament women's basketball champion Golden Eagles held their annual media day on Wednesday at the Al McGuire Center. MU went 25-8 in 2016-17, won its first BIG EAST crown and advanced to the NCAA touranment for the first time since 2011.
