
Natisha Hiedeman Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE-Natisha Hiedeman landed on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her play over the past week that saw her average 18.3 points per game, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Hiedeman helped the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 week that saw them best Wisconsin and Army while dropping a road matchup against No. 24/21 Michigan. Hiedeman shot a scorching 58.3 percent from the field over the week, including a 42.1 mark from three.
The junior guard's week was highlighted by a season-high 26 points against in-state rival Wisconsin to go with four steals, three assists and three boards against the Badgers. Hiedeman also scored a team-high 21 in the win over Army West Point on 9-11 shooting. On the season, she is averaging 15.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.75 assists on 48.4 percent shooting.
The Preseason All-BIG EAST Team member has led Marquette in scoring in a team-high three games over the first nine of the season. This award marks the second week in a row a Golden Eagles has made the honor roll after Allazia Blockton earned the nod previously.
Hiedeman and the Golden Eagles will next be in action at crosstown-foe Milwaukee Sunday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. Central time before wrapping up non-conference play at perennial power Notre Dame Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. CT.
