Blockton Nabs BIG EAST Player of the Week

NEW YORK-- Marquette University junior Allazia Blockton has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, earning her first weekly award of the season, the league office announced on Monday.
Blockton was the BIG EAST's top scorer last week as she tallied a season-high 29 points at Milwaukee on Sunday.The Milwaukee native made 12-of-17 attempts from the floor for a 71-percent success rate, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, while adding four rebounds.
In the win MU snapped an eight-game win-streak by the Panthers and finished the season going 2-1 against fellow in-state opponents.
Marquette will conclude non-conference play with a visit to No. 2 Notre Dame on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. CT, available on WatchESPN.
